Jeff Day, MD, MA is an illustrator and animator who specializes in dynamic science story-telling with cartoon pop.

Jeff earned degrees in Biology and Medicine from Case Western Reserve University, and an MA in Medical Illustration from the Art as Applied to Medicine program at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has experience communicating with a wide variety of audiences from his medical training to teaching at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, where he developed a strong sense for program development. Jeff is currently a Fellow at the National Library of Medicine, focusing on visuals for consumer health.

As a cartoonist, Jeff seeks to develop pithy, engaging solutions and big-picture analogies to understand details. He has one published book, Don't Touch That!: The Book of Gross, Poisonous, and Downright Icky Plants and Critters. Jeff also writes and edits a medical comics column for the Association of Medical Illustrators.

When not drawing, Jeff enjoys exploring nature with a field guide and following the Cleveland Cavaliers.
